Where are you from originally?
I am from Colorado. I met my “future husband” in Colorado; he was in the Army. He is from Pittsburgh and we moved here in 1993.

How did you get involved with Gallagher?
I had a friend, Christine Barker, who works for Gallagher. I worked with her at a previous agency. She went to Gallagher and one day out of the blue she called me and told me great things. I thought, this is exactly what I’m looking for, and I put in my resume.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I always dreamed of being a nurse when I was young. I just always wanted to be a nurse. And I always had it in the back of my mind that I wanted to go to people’s houses. After I had my children, I had the opportunity to take a test, and if you passed the test you got free nursing school. I passed the test and attended Ohio Valley School of Nursing. I worked at Ohio Valley Hospital in the ICU and as a float nurse for 10 years. By then I had enough experience and background to go into home care.

How has working at Gallagher changed your life?
Yes – I am more relaxed and my schedule is more flexible. It feels good to go in someone’s house and straighten stuff out. I love being home in the evening, because you can do your own schedule. Gallagher is the best company that I’ve ever worked for. They are so family friendly just like they say. If you need them for a phone call, they are there to help you out. They are very professional.

What do you do in your spare time?
I love to play with my dogs and spend time with my four children. I have a Newfoundland, German Shepherd, and a mixed Lab.

What’s your favorite color, band, movie, and TV show?
Red, Bon Jovi, “Jaws,” and “NCIS.”

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Mexican food.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
I hope I am still working for Gallagher in home health care, as well as spending time with family. In five years my kids could get married!

If you were suddenly made president of the world, what would your first change be?
I would provide healthcare insurance for everyone. It’s scary because I don’t know where it’s headed.

What three items would you take with you on a desert island?
Diet Mt. Dew, family, and music.
