Years at Gallagher: I’ve been with the company since they opened.

Job Title: LPN

City of Residence: North Versailles

Works in: I work in three facilities: Schenley Gardens in Pittsburgh, Juniper Village at Forest Hills, and Harbour Senior Living of Monroeville. It’s easier because I’m not driving 100 miles to different houses each day.

Where are you from originally?
I am from Pittsburgh.

How did you get involved with Gallagher?
I worked with Diane at another agency beforehand, and she invited me to come work for her. I have no intention of ever leaving.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an attorney. However, my mother and father said nursing – that’s what you’ll do. So I did. Sometimes I feel like I am part nurse, part attorney because for this job, you better know how to document properly.

Where did you go to school? What did you study?
I went to Connelly Technical Institute to become an LPN.

What’s your favorite part of working at Gallagher?
I enjoy several things. I like to get my patients to laugh. But I guess most of all, I really enjoy working with my partner Kim Weyant. We work together in the facilities. I would not be able to do what I do without Kim. It is my great luck to have her as my partner and I appreciate all that she does for me in the past, the present, and the future. She is truly an asset to Gallagher and an amazing nurse to work so closely with. I consider myself very lucky to have her as my nurse in charge.

There is a part of me that is a legal eagle, and that comes from Diane Karcz, who is for sure and without a doubt one of the smartest people I have ever met. I am certainly not of her caliber. I remain her student now and always as I continue to learn day to day, week to week, and year to year.

Previous work history?
I’ve been in home care since 1990. Prior to that, I was a nurse at Montefiore hospital, and then I moved on to dialysis.

What do you do in your spare time?
I enjoy hanging out with friends as well as my husband Rapheal. We have been married for eight years. What I like to do in my free time is entertain and have intimate and memorable dinner parties with friends. I love evenings and dinners with my family and nephew Robbie. I love making my mom laugh! I also like to keep fit. I go to the gym four times a week and also do CrossFit three times a week.  I also love anything that shines, twinkles, and bling… love, love, love bling! I love beauty tips and trends.

What’s your favorite color, band, movie, and TV show?
Aqua, The Rolling Stones, “Scarface” and “The Ten Commandments”, “Nancy Grace” and all the Housewives shows.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Where do you see yourself in five years?
My plan is to go to school for permanent makeup. I want to continue with nursing and also be in business with my friend doing permanent makeup services. I want to do something that doesn’t require notes!

If you were suddenly president of the world, what would your first change be?
I would fix healthcare. It would definitely be different than Obamacare, that’s for sure.

What three items would you take with you on a desert island?
My husband, my cute pug Romeo Alejandro, and food.
